A social night for anyone with any kind of disability from 7pm till about 10 pm. There was kareoke, bingo  and dancing that went on. I loved it. I can't wait to go to the next one. I felt so welcome. These events happen on the first Tuesday of every month

Rona... This picture was taken at Fox Glacier on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island during my recent holiday in New Zealand.   Like its twin, Franz Josef, the glacier descends from the Southern Alps down into temperate rainforest just 300 metres above sea level.
To see the glacier, you can walk to the terminal face, arrange an ice-hiking adventure or book a sightseeing flight; we chose the heli-hike excursion.  Flying in by helicopter and landing on a remote part of the ice we were able to access and explore a part of the glacier.  After being supplied with crampons we dutifully followed our guide who cut out ice steps for us to climb as we explored the amazing formations and ice caves, this being one of them.
Isabel... the picture was taken in Orchha in Madhya Pradesh.  We had just visited the Ram Raja Temple which is a sacred Hindu Pilgrimage.  We had been sitting watching the devotees bringing offerings of food and flowers and had both been well and truly blessed, for a donation!  We were just walking through the square and had been followed for some time by the child on my left who unlike most was not asking for money, school pens or chocolate.  When the other child joined in just looking at me as if I had landed from Mars I couldn’t help bursting out laughing.  I don’t really understand why Rick and I were such a source of fascination to adults  and children alike but it happened wherever we went even although we were surrounded by other tourists.
Phil ...Highlights of Australia were : Cricket at the M.C.G. where England got their expected beating, Sydney Harbour Bridge and The Opera House and great wildlife including Koalas, Kangeroos, Wallabies, Dolphins and a Sting-ray that swam right past me. The photo is a Kookaburra

We also visited Bangkok, Thailand and Ho-Chi-Min City, previously known as Saigon where we learned the horrors of the Vietnam War and visited the museum that preserves the Tunnel system used by the Viet-Cong to hide from the Americans
