Fundraising for Social Nights
We had a separate raffle in aid of the same fund, for the Pantomime Tickets, as they would otherwise have been out of date. We asked Jack, a member of the Art & Craft Group, to draw the winning ticket,  and the winner was  Trish at Darren Court.
Our Art and Craft Leader, Anne, will be leaving us soon.  Please let us know if you know anyone with skills in the area who would like to help us continue the group. It has been very popular, often difficult to fit everyone in.  The group have made some impressive crafts.  Currently they are doing Christmas Decorations.

Marley attended the “Road Rider Ready” Cycling Course, organised by Transport for Greater Manchester (tfgm), in Queens Park and passed his Level 1.  Marley continued with Level 2,  1:1 training on the main road with his trainer Liz.
With a little more training Marley is hoping to be able to cycle on the main road independently in the near future, visiting people and places whilst no longer having to rely on the buses.  A step closer to Greater Independence.
James Hooton enjoyed his night as guest DJ at the November Social Night.  Darren was impressed by “DJ Jimmy” and says he’ll be sure to get him to do some more sets in coming months. James completed a ten week DJ Course organised by Comco back in the summer.

Regulars of the rambling club had a good day earlier this month walking round Holingworth Lake near Rochdale, with the support of duncan Holt from Darren court, and Our qualified Ramble Leader Ian Hutchinson (in red jacket)
Now that the decorations are finished it was time to put them on the tree by some of the group on December 9th 2014
